I have a 3rd Gen ipod touch, 32 gb. Lately i have been having trouble with a couple of things.

I had my ipod full, and one night while syncing, almost all of my music became unavailable on the ipod. I could see it on the ipod but when i went to play a song, it would show the album art for a second and then not play the song. I reset and restored my ipod after resyncing a couple of times, and now it's syncing all of my music back on, but now it's seeming to take up way more space on the ipod. Before i had about 6500 songs on it, making it full. Now i have about 3500 and it's looking like that will fill it up. I made sure the AAC bitrate converting was still on like it was before, it's just confusing. I downloaded the new itunes software and ios 5.0.1. Any ideas why this happened in the first place, and what i have to do to fill my ipod back up the way it was before?
