Why is it that if I read a mail message on my Mac, it still shows as being 'new' and unread in Mail on my iPhone? Is there any way to change this because it is very annoying have to open each mail message even though I have already read it.

It sounds like you're using POP to access your mail. If you want both your iPhone and computer to remember what you did with your messages, you'll have to enable IMAP syncing. The directions to do this can probably be found with whatever mail service you're using, assuming it provides that functionality. Cheers.

I am using a MobileMe account. Shouldn't this be done automatically?

Ah ok, is your phone set to receive Push updates from Mobile Me? You can check by going to your phone and tapping on Settings->Fetch New Data->Make sure Push is on->tap on Advanced, you should see your Mobile Me account->Make sure it is set to Push. Hope this helps.

It is set to 'Push' - but even though I have read the email on my computer; it shows as unread on my iPhone. Is there no way to change this?
