iPod touch Syncing Notes before 3.0

Hey
I have a first gen iPod touch that i'm planning on restoring as a new iPod while upgrading to 3.0, but i have a couple notes that i need to get off the iPod first and the only way i'm aware of is the 3.0 software.

You could try using this app: PhoneView http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/ you have to pay for it but I think you can use the demo to get your notes off.

How about just emailing the notes to yourself?
