My phone was synced with my old macbook. That macbook was destroyed. When I sync my phone to my brand new macbook pro will iTunes wipe out my music and contacts on the phone? How can I first back up my phone to this new computer without this happening? Pls advise.

Back it up with iCloud. That won't save your music though. If you bought it in iTunes you can just redownload it. If you got it from other places then you'll have to get it all over again if you didn't have it backed up. I know there are ways to get music off of iPods onto new computers, and I would imagine there are similar programs to get music off of your iPhone. Google it. If you connect your phone to your new computer and try to sync it, yes, it will erase your media. Your contacts may be safe, but I can't say for sure.
