Syncing photos to iPad

Hi all, I was wondering how I can sync folders of photos into the iPad. I understand that there is a selection for me to choose specific folders in iTunes, however I have photos from different root folders which I want to sync. Does anybody know how to do that?

Apologies if I sound too vague
