I have a MBP and a MP that I am using Chronosync to keep data in-sync.

In practice, have people had success in sync'ing specific preferences, cache, and/or Application support folders?

I've setup some syncs for specific files/folders in ~/Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Application Support, without issue. However, I'm concerned that:

1. an app might get a minor patch/update on one computer, but not the other, and a new plist value or field might be added or changed with the update
2. that there may be some information in /Library that needs to be kept in sync with these folders

Are these valid concerns?

Note that my ~ is on the boot drive on my MPB, but on a second drive on the MP.

Here are the applications and app support folders I'd like to sync preferences for, if it is known to not cause issues:

adobe cs5 - all apps (mainly use PS and Premiere Pro)
adobe lightroom 3
apple mail
apple safari
apple terminal
google earth
microsoft office
mozilla firefox
widgets

Thanks!
