Syncing Problem - Never ending Sync

Having problems with Syncing. Have done nothing different but when I hit sync I get the "Syncing iPhone" and then nothing else. Have done restarts but to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think updating might do the trick, but that's just me...

open isync (it is used by itunes, in the background)
open isync preferences and then at the bottom press "reset sync history"
hopefully this will fix it

good tip with the isync, I will try that. I got it to sync by unchecking almost all of the different things that can be synced, (mail, calenders, ringtones, songs, etc) and then syncing adding another back each time. Syncing Music is what seems to stall it. Maybe iPhone is sick of my music.

I am having the same problem here. How do I find iSync?

iPhone 3GS, 4.2.1
iTunes 10.1.1.4

PC running Vista

Whenever I sync, it all seems to work (all data synced) except it gets stuck at "Finishing sync" in iTunes and the phone remains in sync mode.

Any suggestions?
