iPod touch Syncing Problem

I recently installed Leopard onto my 2 year old 20" iMac. Everything works fine so far except one thing. When I plug in my 8G iPod Touch into the computer, it doesn't sync to iTunes. I know it's not a connection problem because on the iPod, it shows it as charging. I also know it's not a problem with iTunes because when I plugged in my iPod Shuffle, it synced. So how can I get my Touch to sync?
