syncing stuck on step 7 "copying genius results"

It seems lots of people are having problems syncing their iphones all of a sudden ...

I did a major update to my aperture library and after, my phone will not complete synching. I tried deleting the photo cache ... I tried restarting/etc ... Help????
 
sorry for all the posts ... It does seem that ipad syncing works, but the iphone is getting hung up on step 7 ("waiting for changes to be applied") ??
