syncing two macs pt2

Hi,

since iCloud desktop/documents doesn't really work as i want it to (by merging), I'm thinking of making a special "Sync" folder in dropbox and syncing it via symbolic links.

So desktop, documents, some logic folders...

For some reason I'd trust dropbox more. Is there anything that can go horribly wrong with this setup?
