My mom has an iPhone 3GS and her phone is synced with my dads computer that crashed. Since then he got a new computer and he phone is still on 4.3.3 and is wanting to update to 5.0.1 but doesn't way to lose text messages on get phone from when her mother passed. Is there a way for me to do this for her or will it delete everything to back the phone up then update?
