Hello,

Im sorry if this questions been asked a lot but I bought an iPhone the other day and they added the contacts to it at the store. When I go to sync the phone for the first time (with iTunes) is it going to delete the contacts?

Is there an easy way to make it so manually added contacts dont get erased when synced to whats in iTunes?

I have everything backed up with iCloud but on other forums I see that it doesnt always restore ALL contacts if you need to use it to restore the phone...

thanks

I don't think contacts are deleted when synced to iTunes, rather added to Contacts/Outlook.

You could always sync with Google just to be sure.

can anyone else confirm wether the contacts are synced with itunes (or if I have the ability to prevent them from syncing if they are) ???

they will automatically be added to your contacts. if you have contact groups on your computer theres a setting in itunes to make sure any contact you add to the phone will get added to your group on the computer.
