SyncServer Failing Since 10.5.7

Since upgrading my iMac to 10.5.7 I've had a terrible problem related to "SyncServer". I repeatedly get this message throughout the day:

What's worse is the fact that the whole system slows down and gets incredibly sluggish. Not to mention MobileMe syncing now doesn't work - my icon for it now looks like this:

Whilst the system was running sluggish I had a look at Activity Monitor and I guess this may have something to do with it:

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can try resetting SyncServices. Make sure you backup/export your Address Book/iCal data, if you have any, and disable MobileMe/iSync syncing before resetting.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that hasn't worked for me

Anyone else have any ideas?

Edit: I preceded the terminal command with sudo and it now seems to have worked
