synology ds212 with two different hard drives

Hi there,

I'm planning to buy synology ds212 to serve as NAS for my future rmbp. Currently I have two portable hard drives, one 1TB 3.5'' with enclosure and one 1TB 2.5'' seagate go flex pro. I want to take these hard drives out from their enclosure and put it in the ds212. Will this work?

Yeah, that should work just fine. There are a few different configurations that will allow you to combine storage space between the drives, or mirror them, etc.

You're really gonna like the DS212, I have one and it's so convenient (and fast!).
