I don't really see why it matters and long as they weren't using performance enhancing drugs what they do on their own free time is nobody's business in the first place.

Why should a college athlete be held to higher standards than any other college student? It's not like they test art students for use of recreational drugs.

Because the NCAA expects their student athletes to be above the law so they can make the school lots of money and exploit them.
