Sys Pref Displaying Incorrect Trackpad Voltage

System Preferences was showing 9% for the trackpad battery voltage. New batteries still show 9%. I checked and the new batteries meassure a tad over 1.6v each which is normal. The trackpad seems to be operating normally. The magic mouse displays normal voltage.

Tried a forum search for this problem but no luck. The only thing I have tried so far is a warm restart but no change in voltage dispay.

I have a mid 2011 27” iMac running ML 10.8.4.
