I need to remove a folder I've incorrectly added to both the desktop picture and Screen Saver lists in Sys Prefs using the Choose Folder function. Nothing I do will allow removal.
 
I don't think you can remove the folder, you can just change it to something else. Just chose some other folder, it doesn't even need to contain pictures.
 
Ok that gets rid of the wrong folder but that only solves a bit of the problem. This shows as a problem for me as I like to use the random feature, so that forces me to pick a duplicate folder now just to undo my mistake, and I can't choose a blank folder since I don't want this one folder being randomly choosen.

I'm sure there's a way to remove it, but it might not be easy.
 
You could try looking in the Library>Preferences folder in your home folder. Maybe there is a preference file you could delete that would reset it.
