Hi all

I installed High Sierra in a clean system. After I restored only the user data from time machine for me and my wife.

When the two users are logged and we left the MacBook Pro unattended for sometime, when we try to wake it up, instead of the last user it comes up with a system administrator profile. We have to ask to switch user to be able to see both users screen and then to log in.

This is not a normal behaviour.

  • Both me and her are admins.
  • No other user exists.
  • Guest is disabled.
  • Filevault is not enabled.
  • Fast Switch is enabled.
  • I used etrecheck tool and it didn't show anything relevant.
  • I have installed the root security patch, but the problem started before it and still happens.
  • I'm running the latest version of High Sierra as of now - 10.13.2
  • Machine is a Macbook Pro 2017 with touchbar.
The problem is really annoying and it's affecting other users.

How can I fix it ?

Thanks

These two statements contradict each other. If there are only the two user accounts then how is it affecting other users?

That aside, is the MBP connected to a server at all?

What I meant was , other users with high Sierra. I have posted it a month or so ago in another forum (apple’s) and others are having the same issue.

It’s not connected to any server.

Thanks
