I'm randomly missing System Preferences from my whole computer..
I haven't done anything different recently, I just realized that when I went to click it on my dock, the question mark symbol appeared and nothing happened.
When I pressed the Apple menu button and tried it from there, nothing happened either. It's in none of my Mac's folders, it's not in the trash, and I can't try opening it on a separate user account because the only way to enable other users is through system preferences.
I'm running Leopard on a 933MHz Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver).
I can't find my Mac CD, have no friends with Macs and can't find System Preferences available somewhere for download. Is it possible for somebody to let me know of a fix or simply send me the program itself?
Thanks

Did you run disk utility?

Do you backup?

Did you try manually launching a preference pane from your library folder (Library/PreferencePane)?

Cheers
