System Preferences: The only thing showing is Network

What happened? I let my wife use my iMac for a week, and see what happens? How can I get everything else to show again?

When you click "Show All" ..that's the only thing I see.

To make it simple and plain, she deleted all the files under Macintosh HD > System > Library > PreferencePanes folder except the network file. Don't know why she would do that, but it happened obviously. You could try backing up from time machine assuming you have that... Not much else you can do besides reinstall the OS.

I just checked that folder and yes- you are right.

Grrr! I don't know what I did with my OS DVD's. Just when you think something like this can't possibly happen, it does.

Are the files still in the Trash Or did she completely delete them?
