Please could someone explain to me what the Wi-Fi Networking setting in the system services setting menu does and should I have it toggled on or off?

Since it's under location settings, I'm guessing it's the use of Wi-Fi network to determine your location. Having Wi-Fi on allows for greater accuracy because there's a database of Wi-Fi networks which are geo-tagged to pinpoint your location better without cell towers or actual GPS

I'd love to see a rundown of all the system services, what they do, their impact on battery life, and whether or not they are critical to keep on.

Cell network search, for example, sounds important to keep on, but the phone works fine with it off. So what are the advantages of keeping this and other services on or off?
