As a newbie to the mac family I find it amazing how many older machines are around and still being used. Cannot say that much about PC`s in most cases....

Macs do tend to have a longer lifespan. Last year I retired my 1995 PowerMac due to me fiddling with the internals too much. If I took the time I could get it running again. It'd only run OS 9 but I still use that due to some audio programs and such.

Yes matter of fact as soon as I get my G4 updated I'll start looking for another one for my G/F so that she can finally get rid off that horrondous bucket o' bolts she uses for a PC!!!
BTW, older machines are considered vintage by APPLE if you can believe that!! Makes me happy hearing that my lil Mac that can, is still considered valuable
