A cardboard box.
This is becomming a real bloody pain for me. After leaving the computer idle for a few hours, just in screensaver mode, I come back to see iChat and iTunes disconnected from the internet. Looking up at the Airport in the menu bar, I try to turn it off and back on, but that damned beach ball halts my progress. by opening top, I can see that it is responsible for 100±% of my CPU. I then try to open system prefs and manually change the airport, only to have that lock up too. I then try the kill -9 on the SystemUISe, no luck. Eventually the finder, dock, etc become unresponsive as well.

I tried trashing and rebuilding the com.apple.SystemUIServer.plist file and it still happens. This has only happened after installing 10.3.4. Current items in the menubar are meteorologist, Airport, CHUD, Remote Desktop Client, International, Clock, and Fast User Switching. Please help me, as I feel like I'm back in the crashworthy days of OS 9 and a rev. A iMac!
