Hey guys I'm running a 15" macbook pro 2008 (unibody). As with them all the temp is high but when Im in windows (installed it so I can game) the system gets decent bit hotter than in OSX. The GPU temp especially with it reaching 91 degrees celcius at one time (around this time the screen shuts off and the computer goes into sleep... with the programs still running actually).

I plan on getting a laptop cooler but is there any other way that I can lower the temp of the GPU and CPU?

Thanks.

Get SMCfancontrol. When booted into OS X, use it to turn your minimum fan speed up to something like 4000-4500rpm, reboot into bootcamp.

Alternatively, you could try using Lubbos fan control directly in windows.
