Was at the Apple store trying to pickup my new iPhone (iUP). My current phone was deactivated as you’d expect, but activation of my new phone never cleared in the system. After the Apple employee spent many minutes with T-Mobile on the phone, it became clear there was a larger activation issue on T-Mobile’s side.

Two hours later, I have a new sim card in my old phone and am leaving without my new phone as the activation never went through. Was told I’ll have to come back tomorrow or later to see if the issue is resolved.

Another customer here had the same issue, and a quick twitter search shows more people are dealing with this.

Anyone here able to explain this, or able to help me determine when a solution is found so I don’t waste my time tomorrow coming back to the store for this to happen again?

Had the same issue around noon.
the Apple guy just grabbed another phone, and processed the upgrade with the other phone AND another dedicate T-Mobile SIM card.
When i got back home the phone was “activated” but not the SIM card. I can’t receive text and all calls are directed to tmobile. So I just give tmo the EID number over the phone and everything worked from there.
