Carrier T-Mobile and Apple Upgrade

I see it says you can only do the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program in store with T-Mobile. Do we know if you can reserve online for store pickup in that case or do I have to go wait in line one Friday?

From the chat I had online with an apple support person they said all of the info they have at this time makes them believe that you will have to go in on the 16th and cannot preorder or reserve. But checking on Friday is the only way to know for sure.

I really don't want to go stand in line without a reservation.

According to my eligibility and from responses on other threads, Apple's site indicates you can simply make a reservation on the 9th and pick up your phone in-store and set up your Upgrade Programs, no crazy waiting in line necessary.

Last year they didn't. It was just a reservation. Setup of upgrade program or payment was done in person.
