I was going to switch to T-Mobile. I live on the border of Dallas and Plano. With ATT I was getting in the high 70s, with T-Mobile I was under 5. I didn't switch. :)

I've had both modems on a T-Mobile line and sad to say I do notice higher speeds on the qualcomm modem. Neither were bad though so there's that.

Erik, that's a sad speedtest bro :D
Really? :D

Don't forget I was on Sprint for 16 years, the last 3 of those years being sub-1mbps down LTE. 7.38 down is plenty usable.

Oh sure, compared to the average T-Mobile speeds it's nothing. But my comparisons are always against what I used to get in the same place on Sprint.

Something else to consider in this too…

I'm right across the street from City Hall with it's two story building and hundreds of workers. Not to mention any T-Mobile customers that may be visiting City Hall. Speed tests are generally much higher around 7am, noon and 5pm. The fact that with all the congestive crush of people I still get what I got on this speed test I think is pretty good.

This is also Band 4. Band 12 is rolling out but I haven't seen any myself yet.

I hear you, its a big step forward from Spring for sure and as tmobile keeps expanding LTE coverage you'll be fine.
