Looking around my local area (Seattle), the iPhone is largely available for pickup for everyone but those wanting a T-Mobile device. I then looked at other cities across the USA and noticed none of them had T-Mobile iPhones available for pickup as well.

This does not seem to be a stock issue but more of a mandate that Apple stores are not allowing customers to pickup T-Mobile iPhones. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Maybe all of their T-Mobile phone inventory is currently allocated to T-Mobile themselves at the moment.

Why not just pick up a sim-free model? No difference this year between phones other than you get a sim card with the carrier phones.

Apple doesn’t allow you to do the yearly upgrade program with the sim free model
