It said this plan will only work with T-Mobile Phones purchased from a Walmart store or from Walmart.com
Anyone know will this work with an unlocked iPhone 5?
This is really a great plan for people who dont talk much.

But for the Activation Kit it said "The T-Mobile No Annual Contract Kit is also applicable to other brands of unlocked GSM phones."
I am currently using ST $45 plan, if this works with an unlocked iPhone 5 I will definitely switch.

Yes, it will work. But not everyone can get T-mobile 4G connection. I can only get edge connection with download speed around 15 KB/s...

But when I get out of my town, sometimes I can get 3G connection with download speed above 500 KB/s.

It's pretty slow. It's slower in some areas than others though. In my city I'm able to load most websites and even stream pandora with it but when I go back home to visit parents it's barely usable for anything.

T-Mobile is currently in the process of refarming their spectrum so that they use the same bands for 4G as AT&T. If you live in a city where they have already completed the refarming then your unlocked iPhone will get their 4G speeds. Otherwise you'll be stuck on 2G speeds.

Yes, edge is really slow. Yes, I'm using iPhone 5 on t-mobile's $ 30 plan. If you could get 3G connection, that would be great. You should check this:

I am using this plan with my iPhone 5. I am always around wifi so it works perfectly for me, but I do go through a majority of areas that are 3G. The EDGE speeds in my area are fast enough to do comfortable web browsing to get me by.


It can only get better when the transfer is complete.
