The other week I received their email asking me if I was interested in the pre-order, I said yep.
Today I got the mail saying "You can place an order now", which is probably Dutch for "pre-order".
So I did, black/gray, 64gb, iPhone 6S Plus, and I got their email saying they received my order.
The instructions are to wait because they manually process them as they receive them, and within now and soon(tm) I should get a confirmation email that my order has been processed. Then I pay for the 300 euro for the phone. And after payment I get an email with an order number. At which point I can track my order, and at some point AMS logistics is going to deliver it. .. Okay, I am already losing my mind here. lol.
So, it's possible it will be here on the 9th, or close after that date. It seems (for the Netherlands) I am pretty early at ordering it. But with my luck, it will be here on my birthday in January.
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot, I didn't see another dutch order thread, and didnt' want to pollute the UK or US one, and I am just sorta excited about not thinking twice and just ordering it.
One negative, I was not able to select 12 months instead of 24 months, so they got me for another two years I guess. But I just can't afford paying the full 950 euro for this phone in one go.
Upside, I had 6gb traffic, now I should have 12gb traffic, and monthly bill went from 55 to 57 a month.
Ok, step 1 done, got their mail, showed interest, placed order, got their mail. Step 2: they have to confirm it, and then I have to pay. Ok, that's it, my three minutes of excitement is over now.
Why the black? My mother just got the black/gray iPad, my iphon4 was black, it still looks spiffy, the gold looks more yellow than the 5s gold, which is pretty, and I am not interested in pink or the silver one.
Why 64gb, not 128 or 32? I don't think 16 is a real option to consider, I consume loads of media. 128 is out of my budget reach, I'd love it, but can't afford it. And 32 is not offered by Apple, so it's 64 for me.
Why upgrade from 6gb to 12gb traffic? Because I like 120mbit internet on my phone and i use it a lot. I hit the 6gb limit every other month and pay 10 bucks for an extra couple of gigs, I rather not worry about it and it was just a few bucks more to get it with this account.
