T-Mobile phone broke under contract, cheapest way to get a new one?

Let's just say I had too much fun last night and in the process broke my phone.

What is the cheapest way to get a T-Mobile phone for the remainder of my contract or maybe even strike a deal with T-Mobile for a new phone?

I'd just buy a prepaid phone and pop in my sim card.

Unless T-Mobile will replace your current phone for a cheaper/ equal cost of a new prepaid phone.

It should. I use to do that with my iPhone (ATT) during undergrad. The nights I knew I was going to be crazy drunk, I'd just switch my sim card from my iPhone into a cheapo candy bar prepay phone.

If you haven't already considered this, some people sell unlocked phones on eBay for pretty cheap, you might be able to find one for a couple dollars that works with T-Mobile.

That's a great idea. I might just do that once my contract expires and I get a nice phone.
