Living in the U.S. at the moment and looking to grab a new iPhone 6s Plus but not sure if the unlocked 6s purchased directly from Apple will support T-Mobile U.S. WiFi calling. In the past, you had to get the device from T-Mobile U.S. directly who loaded up their software onto the phone to ensure WiFi calling, which is a feature I really like.

Anybody know if the Apple unlocked version for T-Mobile U.S. purchased directly from Apple will support WiFi calling out of the box or should I just play it safe and get the new iPhone directly from T-Mobile U.S.?

I believe iphones are the exception to this rule with T-mobile, as my wife has been using a Verizon iphone 6 with T-mobile and the wifi calling works flawlessly (well, as flawless as it would on a T-mobile sourced iphone anyway.) Same with my unlocked Sprint 5S--the wifi calling is working with T-mobile.
