Hi :) Here are some facts and one very irritating query stuck in my head :|

  • We all know Verizon's iPhone 5's do not support simultaneous Voice & Data on Verizon's CDMA network.
  • Whereas, AT&T's iPhone 5's do support it on AT&T's GSM network.
  • Also, Verizon's full-price iPhone 5 is being sold carrier-unlocked.
  • Above all, Verizon iPhones also work on GSM networks, so I can use it with T-Mobile!
The only question is, does the Verizon iPhone 5 work having simultaneous talk & data while operating on 3G GSM networks? Like on T-Mobile or AT&T?

It would be really great if someone could actually try it out and confirm :D

Yes, if you're on any GSM 3G you will be able to talk and pull data.
But if you're on Tmobile 2G Edge then you wont be able to do that.

If you are on VZWs network as a subscriber, you will occasionally roam to to T-Mobile but will not be able to use data and voice at the same time.

Also, you will not be able to register a Verizon phone on the T-Mobile network because VZ is CDMA and TMO is GSM.

You can use a VZ phone on the overseas networks by adding international roaming to you VZW plan but still no voice and data together.

Everything above is false.
We're talking about a Verizon i5 used with a Tmobile sim.
A verizon phone with cdma service will never roam on Tmobile USA.
Also a verizon i5 is factory unlocked and will work with any gsm sim in the world.
