The T2 security chip present on most current Macs / portables has been jailbroken. Few details at this point and the software utilities seem to currently be a proof-of-concept, but this could be quite significant. Obviously, it opens up all sorts of possible problems for Apple's security model on these machines (eg TouchID and FileVault are broken by it), but also could mean owners being able to install their own MS / Linux certs, improve developer access to the TouchBar etc. Could also be used to circumvent Apple's blocking of 'unauthorised repair' of components like the TouchBar.

Amusing to hear about how Apple have just hardcoded a key in the T2...:)

Obviosuly affects more than the MBP but I figure this forum is as good as any.
