TA550 Samsung monitor

I got a Samsung TA550 monitor which I tried to connect to my MacBook via Mini DVI to HDMI adapter and HDMI to HDMI cable, but I get only a "Check signal cable" message. Does anyone know how to fix such a problem? I should add that there is no problem to connect the monitor via VGA.

I have bought this same monitor (Samsung LT27A550) and had no problem using it with my MBP through HDMI, and it is amazing !!!
Maybe your Mini DVI to HDMI adapter has some problem.
