Tablet and Ultrabook together?

Just got wind of this at CES 2012

Apparently its a regular old laptop at first, albiet really thin, but you can open the hinges and turn it into a tablet. Seems like a pretty cool idea. Its going to run Windows 8, but do you think Apple will do something similar?

We all know Apple is merging OS and iOS and something like this will really help bring it into fruition. A macbook Air + an ipad? Sounds good to me, at least when the OS catches up.

No chance. At least this year. It would mess with two distinguished product lines - MBA and iPad.

Personally, I think the Lenovo looks amazing (minus the name). Supposedly going to run an Intel Ivy Bridge i7, 256 GB SSD, a 1600 x 900 IPS display with 10 point multi-touch, supposed 8 hour battery life and it's about 3 lbs and $1199 retail? Incredibly impressive stats.
