Taco Edit vs. 1st Page 2000 ???

Does anybody know if Taco edit is as good as Evrsoft 1st Page 2000 is for Windows? 1st page is better than dreamweaver and it's freeware. Since I just switched to a mac I wanted to know if I could get away with not having DW and just having taco edit.
