tag me? share a snap?

When we say "share a snap on social media" or "tag me in instagram" what exactly do we mean?

First one would be share a picture. Second would be @zoran to alert them of your post. Don't know if there is another way on other SM. I know sometimes FB you can just type without the @.

If someone were to do those two things, "share" and "tag", what exactly would he do?
