Tagging items on a Time Capsule

While it seems that I can "tag" items located on my Time Capaule, I am not able to see those items listed when I do a search for them. Does Tags search only work on the physical hard drive of the mac, or do I need to include the TC somehow in the search parameters?

Spotlight does not by default index/search networked drives. There is a workaround for that here. I don't know if it still works on Mavs.
