Tahoe Audio Quality

Is it just me or is the audio quality in Tahoe diminished? Whether it is Youtube or the Apple Music app, I have to crank up my speaker significantly just to hear the audio. This was not an issue I have previously experienced before. I guess I'll be downgrading this weekend.

am not seeing any difference. check your settings before you downgrade the whole OS.

check the levels on the music app, youtube; the settings in system settings>sound. perhaps check utilities>audio midi setup.

there's no reason for the levels to be different...

Thanks for the tips.
I solved it. Strangely enough a restart seemed to fix whatever the issue was. Seems to be a common fix for most of Tahoe's hiccups.

that's been true for years, that a reboot can (sometimes) 'fix' a quirky behavior...
