1.1 for Mac just released.

I've already jailbroken my devices on 8.4 with the Windows version on my Mac's virtual machine. But I would like to know user experiences in using the Mac version just in case i need to re-jailbreak.

Mahalo and Aloha!

I just tried it on OS X for my iPad Air 2. iPad had previously been JB, then NON-CLEANLY updated to 8.4, removing JB. I just did the new Taig JB on top of that, seems to have worked. Preparing Cydia now. It asks you to turn off passcode and find my iPhone, that's it for this one.

Note: I am not a hardcore enough JB'er to be able to assess how functional this was. I really only use tetherme and f.lux at this point, and the tetherme is only on my phone. I only JB'd this iPad out of boredom, really.

F.lux is working for you on 8.4?

My screen shifted but never went back to normal. Figured it wasn't updated yet.

Does anyone know what version of OS X is required? I read that 10.10 was needed. I have 10.8.5 so I want to make sure it will work before I try.

doesnt seem to work on El Capitan either. stuck on 10 % and preparing. oh well it was worth a try

Just for anyone trying to get the JB to work, here is some advice. I have had issues with TAIG like many others (error -1001, driver issues, iTunes issues, etc.) . I finally found a solution that works for me. Worked on all 3 devices that I tested on (4s, 5s, 6 Plus)
Restore to 8.4 with iCloud backup, turn off auto-lock, turn off airplane mode, turn off wifi, take out SIM card. Leave it at "No Service." Took about 3 minutes for it to go through the process, another 2 minutes for Cydia to do its thing. No need for older iTunes or anything like that.

and as always, stay away from PP :)

I did it a few days ago and it works well. Make sure you set display off time to never. And of course disable passcode, touchid and find my iPhone.

The install went smooth and simple. Seems stable on my 6 running 8.4. I missed my jailbreak, glad to be home! :)

I use Exchange and I'm unable to turn off auto lock. Will that eff me? What's PP?

Try jailbreaking before restoring through iTunes or iCloud. It's quicker and nothing will happen to hinder the jb process.

Why stay away from PP? Is taig actually better for some reason?

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm guessing you used the 1.1 version.
Yes version 1.1

I did have trouble with the App Store until I logged out, reboot then logged back in.

Battery life is unchanged so far. This is a sweet jailbreak for me, one of the easiest and problem free I've ever seen.. JB since iOS 4
