So I took my MBP out of its case, and the temps stay about 7C lower than with the case on.

Try it out and tell me what you get guys.. Also try it on your lap, and try a hard surface such as glass or wood where it has good ventilation...
 
this reminds me of techniques like pointing a house fan at your open desktop tower.
 
a bit off topic: will i get better airflow ( cooler temps ) if i take off invisible body by bestskinsever?
 
Yea looks like I'm selling my case and getting some protective film. It sucks cuz I got the case for free from APPLE... oh well ebay time
 
I'm not surprised, most hard shell cases impede airflow and can trap the heat that comes off of the chassis of the computer itself.

Exactly what it is. I'm doing video encoding now. Fans set to 4000 with smcFANCONTORL. 63C awesome
