Is there a j/b app that add the ability for you to take a picture with the volume keys in the stock photo application?

Yes Snap Tap... It works perfectly with my iP4's camera app. It's about $1 and change on Cydia. Well worth it.

Really cool...post back if it works well. Does it matter with volume is pressed or can you configure it to either?

Does anyone know if SnapTap would work with Activator? I'm waiting for Snappy to update since I can load using Activate with a swipe of the screen. Makes taking spur of the moment pictures a lot more convenient.

it looks like snappy beta will be released tonight according to kb1ooo (creator)

No it doesn't work with Activator

Does snap tap really work with iPhone 4? I thought I read the package and it said it didn't?

snappy beta is out.. you need to email the dev and he will give you the repo source. so far it doesnt have full function but its working nice. volume buttons are obviously a plus.

SnapTap works like a charm for me on my iP4. Just downloaded it this morning thanks to this thread. Thanks guys!

I really want to be able to take pictures with the volume buttons but that's how quick compose is triggered with biteSMS. Can anyone say if there's a conflict between the two?

with the snappy beta... the volume control does not show up on the screen at all.. once you are in the camera app it will just snap the photo. hope this helps.

Anyone know if SnapTap works with Camera+ (from taptaptap.com)? Their latest submitted version was rejected by Apple because they included an option to use the volume buttons to snap photos.

[...] backdoor workaround — some might call it a hack — that enables the VolumeSnap feature in the current 1.2.1 version.

Go to Mobile Safari and type - camplus://enablevolumesnap

If, for whatever reason, you want to disable the function, type – camplus://disenablevolumesnap in Mobile Safari.

It works on my iPhone 4, although it simultaneously keeps adjusting the ringer volume as well. I wasn’t able to get it to work on my old iPhone 2G.
