Has anyone else done this? I'm moving to Japan over the summer and I have this machine I need to take with me. I can't have a delay with shipping as I need access to it everyday for my video editing work. So it's coming on the plane with me. I've been reading all these horror stories about people flying with P.C.s saying if you value what you own you need to disassemble the whole thing and basically pack it in foam while having children from all of Earth's religions praying for it's safe keeping and sacrificing goats. As we all know, an Imac is ONE component, so that can't be done. Also, since it's international, will this be a customs nightmare? Anyone familiar with this scenario? Just to be clear this is NOT a laptop. It is a 24" IMac desktop, so please don't tell me all the process for taking it carry on as so many already have because they don't listen.
