My housemate is away at a conference/meetings in the US. He has been remoting into his iMac here at our house. However the otherday he emailed to ask me to check if his machine was ok because he couldnt get on.

in short I think his hard drive knackered.

Now its been bought under the education store as he is a PhD student. Will I be able to take it into the store to get it looked at for him (as he requested)? or will he have to do it as it'll be registered under his name?

It will be advisable have to make an appointment at the Apple Store, so why not ask them?

Of course I forgot you had to do that.... cant believe that skipped my mind. I remember when I took my MBP in (to get everything but the hdd replaced!) I had to go all the way home again because I hadnt made an appointment! Will get on it, will they answer my question before I go though? No point in turning up to be turned away because I dont own the machine.
