For any 3GS owners, can you take a video while on a phone call?

I just tried for the first time today and it wouldn't allow me to toggle to video mode (the toggle wasn't there).

you can on a jailbroken phone

with Backgrounder I was curious so I just tried it. I am pretty sure that would be the only option though. seriously love my JB phone love the iphone dislike the limits apple places on it! :(

I have backgrounder installed. Whatdo you background, the phone call or the camera app? How did you get that to work?

And I agree about the limitation thing, sometimes I wanna talk to someone and video tape the creek in my back yard so I can show that person how flooded my yard got and how fast the water is moving!

FWIW: I was taking video and I received a phone call and the video stopped at the point of the call coming in. (I also don't have backgrounder or w/e it is that you guys are talking about)

You could film it first then send it to them and then call the person?
This seems like a pointless task to me.

And who said one step away from video calling? Rear mounted video camera for calls? lol are you mad.
