Im a switcher. My C2D 15'' stock MBP has some aluminum deformation near the latch. Is it painfull to get it replaced at an apple store? Will they move my information over for me?

Also, how long do I have to do this?

My experience is that if you just bought it and it’s a manufactures defect, they should take it back. Good luck...

they might or might not do it for you, depend on the particular employee... try your luck

for your data.. if i were you, i'd back up my data and move over afterward, but i think you'll be able to transfer it there... i just like to take my new computer home, and have a box openning ceremony :p but that's just me

if you dont transfer anything there, and if everything go smoothly, they might finish the process under 5 minutes, otherwise it might not even get done
