I am taking my MBA in to have its display replaced. I would like to stay on the safe side and make sure my passwords and information are safe. Is it enough for me to just have my Login set with a password and make them use the Guest account to test or should I do more?

Nice!I'm taking my MBP for a display replacing too!I'd like to know the answer. Actually i was thinking letting them use my Admin Account but you have a point there...

Depending on the repair, they may need administrator access. They will definitely need at least a valid login. The basic guest account will not suffice.

In either case, I would just create a new account called "apple" for them. Make it an admin account if they need it, and then just delete the account when you get the computer back. Back up your hard drive before you go, too.
