I want to take a picture with my iphone (since it is my only camera now) and make an enlarged print from it; something in the realm of 20X30.

(a) Will this look like crap blown up so big?
(b) Do I need a better camera?
(c) Has anyone else done this before? And what were the results?

Thanks! Just want some imput before I go and spend money on prints...

An iPhone 4 photo is 2592 x 1936 pixels. If you want to print at 20" x 30", you'll crop to 2592 x 1728 (to maintain aspect ratio). That gives you roughly 86dpi resolution.

Not super sharp, but depending on what you're using it for, maybe enough.

If you have a photo-grade printer, crop out a 344 x 516 pixel image from an iPhone photo, and print it out at 4" x 6" (or a 688 x 860 at 8" x 10"). That will give you a rough idea of what your print will look like when blown up.
