Resolved Taking screenshots of the homescreen?

Either I'm a little slow in the head and I'm doing it wrong but I can't seem to take screenshots of the home screen using home and lock. Nothing happens. Is there a different way of doing it for iPhone 5?

Tried a hard reset and it seems to work now. Thanks for letting me know it was still the same process.

A hard reset can fix a whole plethora of evils.
